Had an ER visit yesterday evening and expected to be there a while, even packed a bag with some necessities. To my surprise, I pulled into and out of the parking lot in just under one hour...complete with antibiotics in hand for seven days (after the hospital pharmacy was closed). Hats off to the entire ER team at St. Charles in Bend!
My son was taken such great care of here Saturday night when he needed stitches. The triage nurse calmed him down by explaining everything to expect and reassuring him that it would be okay, she really was above and beyond helpful and a truly caring empathetic person. The Dr was the same very patient and skilled, he as well reassured and explained everything to my son and made us all feel comfortable. So glad being misgendered for 3 hours straight fixed my anxiety's pseudo heart attacks!! Too bad I'll never know if that's what really was going on, because I couldn't take being called the wrong name and pronouns and ignored for multiple hours despite having cardiac symptoms and my gender identity listed in my chart!! Thanks, St. Chuck!!
I have had a brutal left leg pain for a week. Deep blooming hellish pain in the bone, it seemed. I went to ER at midnight, after days of no sleep. I was tested for DVT. All the staff, from the Dr,- Nathan Lynch, to Logan, Chandler, Natalie, Maya , the tall fellow-phlebotomist-(didn't see his name tag), the male nurse, again, no name tag I registered, curly hair, were wonderful .
