I have completed 19 infusions (not including the saline infusions when chemo was making it impossible to swallow) over 12 months at the Cancer Center and I cannot say enough nice things about the center itself, the reception personnel, schedulers, nurse navigator and the infusion nurses with special mention to my infusion fairy that brought me tea and lunch. Soon I'll be receiving treatment again, at the cancer center. I was treated there 4 years ago and cannot express how grateful I am for the care I received at that time. The nurses were totally proficient and also caring, which helped me to feel comfortable and confident in the life-saving treatment they provide. As a retired R.N., I can compliment them in the highest regard.
I recently completed a treatment and infusion program at St Charles Cancer Center located in Bend,OR. My wife and I want to commend and express our gratitude to all the members of the St Charles Cancer Center team. It Is truly a team effort beginning with the staff in the check and registration area. They are very professional, courteous, and welcoming. I was shocked to see an overall review of 2.9 for St. Charles Cancer in Bend. I'm a patient there and I have never had a more courteous staff or support group attend to me and my family. Having a Cancer diagnosis is shocking and I've been up and down with my emotions. I have access to all of the professionals that I need. Even after hours. There is support for my caregiver (spouse) for no charge. Anyway, I couldn't say more about how these great people have made my Cancer journey bearable...even having a chuckle at times. The care upstairs after surgery once my dad got to a room, was great. The doctors and nurses were very attentive and communication was excellent above and beyond. But first impressions at check in, was the very worst I've seen. No compassion, not friendly. Not sensitive to reason we were there. If you don't like your job get a new one. We are already taking on alot with what our falmily is going through. A bright smile and pretending you care goes a long way on tough mornings when your dad is facing pre-op for lung cancer.
