10 years ago this was the most lovely environment to get better in. The staff and support staff were all seriously wonderful people. Fast forward to 2023 and it's all gone to hell. Staff are all too young and inexperienced walking round like prison guards stating there are the professionals. The psychiatrist was the most awful woman I had ever come across and have a male incharge of a female ward was an absolutely joke. This place needs to be shut down, it's not fit for purpose. They wouldn't give me PRN when I asked for it.... read more

In there people of colour are racist and white men are bully and white women are very rude and their police force are unsafe. They injected me with an antipsychotic depot three times during about up to 11 years and 9 months for up to 300 weeks(long term antipsychotic injections) First they injected me for 1 year and 16 weeks (actually 65 weeks or 15 months)with equivalent of 16 monthly injections(1 injections for first 8 days)which one of them was 3 monthly(which because of this 3 monthly injection my treatment went to 3 wee... read more

Would not recommend. The general staff (excluding psychiatrists) treat patients like animals. My schizophrenic brother was met with physical aggression (he was pinned to the wall) when he had a psychotic episode - he was not aggressive towards the staff during that episode. Given that he was already paranoid about people being against him, this kind of treatment made matters worse. Please do not resort to acts of physical aggression as a solution to undesired behaviour in patients - train your staff better. Furthermore, he w... read more
