Attended St Andrew’s ED with a young adult male writhing with chest pain. There was only 1 staff person who was not a foreigner or whose first language was English. The nurse who looked after him could barely speak English and kept calling him a female. The ED doctor, (who was also very odd and thought it appropriate to make a pass at a female family member) left him in pain for over 1.5 hours because he “did not administer the pain relief, a nurse had to do it”. The staff were yelling at each other across the room and there... read more

Doctors and nurses here were great, no complaints at all. However the receptionist at emergency was so unbelievably rude and dismissive. She cut me off repeatedly while talking, didn’t make eye contact once, and was extremely abrupt. I was in a lot of pain and all she cared about were payment details. She also had spray tan marks all over the collar and front of her top which looked really unprofessional. Weird experience. Maybe because it was a Sunday.

Outstanding service. We have visited a few times over the past week for my sons injury. From reception, to triage to the Doctors and Nurses that treated my son were all friendly, caring and provided excellent service. Request for urgent MRI and we were having it done within 1 hour. The Dr called the same night with results. Can't thank you enough.
