My stay consisted of surgery along with an overnight stay. From the registration to my release the employees were polite, patient, concerned and gracious. There tone and disposition were professional and approachable. I was never hesitant of using my call button if needed. I recommend SSM DePaul to any one that wants to feel like it's all about you. Special thanks to my intake nurses, the ones that did the two IV, Dr. Santiago, Dr. Amer Alshekhlee
If I could give no stars, I would. I should have left once I seen the waiting room. It was filthy, noisy out of control, and there were even fentanyl pills on the bathroom floor. I felt so sorry for the staff having to deal with this society. If it weren't for Dr. Sony Kim Sheppard, I would have left. As uncomfortable almost scary it was, they did get me back on my feet in about 6 hours which is pretty dam good and for that I am so grateful.
I was in excruciating pain and went to a previous ER and week before with no cause just follow ups. However, the wait was lengthy but the ER physician D. Sprowls he is definitely the truth he took time reviewed labs imaging results and went over them with me and gave me a diagnosis, the cause, and what his plans for me should be. I left still in pain but after starting the treatment plan he have by the next day I started to feel better
The ER was dirty we waited to 7 hours never saw a Doctor. The front line staff was amazing but could do nothing to move along our visit. I left AMA with my daughter.🤬🤬🤬🤬
