SSBC brakes have been problematic since installation. Front left caliper was binding. Was stuck without a truck for two weeks while waiting for SSBC to rebuild the caliper SINCE THEY REFUSED TO SEND A NEW ONE. Now a few thousand miles later, front left caliper has completely failed, and front-right is going with it. Both front rotors require replacement already. Issue is binding pistons in calipers - something that is apparently not uncommon with these SSBC brakes. Currently awaiting a solution from SSBC for this second issu... read more
Ordered a front disc brake conversion kit. Complete kit. Parts sat on my shelf for a couple years while stockpiling suspension and other pieces of the puzzle. Went to put together this week and they sent me the completely wrong calipers that don’t go with the rest of the kit. Called them, and since it’s been more than a few weeks, they want me to pay for shipping to receive the correct calipers as well as to ship the incorrect ones back to them along with paying for the replacement calipers I paid for the first go around.
