SRV offered lovely, measured and attentive atmosphere of European restaurants that I miss as an European in Boston. However, the vegetarian Arsenale menu lacked imagination or diversity - it had recurring themes, namely, ricotta or mozzarella in almost every dish and focaccia served on the side (no butter or olive oil to pair it with) and with morels on top as an opening dish (morels were mostly tasteless or their subtle taste was overpowered by very strong garlic). I can't explain how welcome we always feel when coming to SRV. The food, drinks, atmosphere, hosts, everything is just superb and you can tell that they sincerely care about their guest. My wife have been to countless restaurants in Boston, and SRV is our mainstay. Every time we come in, not only does the staff go out of their way to make us feel comfortable but the food and drinks always knock out out. Sincerely SRV is just that hidden gem of Boston and real ones know it is a place to go in any season
