I'm glad I wasn't the only one with a horrible experience here! I came to see if there was any availability, and the office person Zulenka said that a tour would cost $100. Then she said that she had one room left in a 2 bedroom. Told her I had 2 kids and needed a whole apartment. she said that she could move some people around in apartments, but that the kids would cost an extra $250 each. This place is super sketch. No one in the office to inquire about renting an apartment, and when we did find someone, she was sitting in her Tesla taking pictures of a lot of checks with some guy. Guy left in a hurry in the other Tesla. One of the times we drove around there was so much trash piled up that we had to leave.
I’ve throughly enjoyed living at the Social Amherst. The staff, Mel, Phoenix, and Matt have been extremely helpful and responsive when needed. They will follow up about any issues that were reported and make sure that the problem has been successfully solved. They’ve communicated very clearly about closures, updates, warnings, events, and activities on and around the complex. Overall, my experience has been great and I expect it’ll continue that way.”
The Social Amherst is a solid apartment complex to live in. I had a decent experience as a college resident here. Their roommate matching system worked spectacularly, and I found 4 amazing people to live with. The management team and the maintenance staff are very responsive and efficient with their work. They're all quite friendly and their professionalism has been a highlight of my living experience.
