I spent the day checking out Squire Boone and Marengo Caves. Between the two, I would recommend Squire Boone! I purchased my cave tour ticket upon arrival and was about to join the next tour no problem. There are some pigs and goats outside the gift shop along with the gift shop itself to pass some time before your tour starts. Very friendly, cool experience.
Family came in from North Carolina. Brought an 11 & 15 year old. Had a wonderful time in the cave.The presentation was the best. Learned many things from the young lady.
We had an incredible experience at Squire Boone Caverns! We went in the off season, so many of the "extras" weren't up & running (communicated via their brochures & probably elsewhere) but the cavern was so stunning that it didn't feel like we were missing out on a thing! We went to the Indiana Caverns as well & my family agreed that this cavern was the better of the two by far. We went Easter Sunday & were the only people on the 10 am tour. Everyone was so hospitable! The caverns are absolutely stunning and the guided tour was well worth it. It's even worth doing twice! We had kids from 5 to 13 with us and they all did just fine with the spiral staircases, wet paths, using guardrails, and not touching the cave walls. We bought tickets in advance and were able to call ahead when we were running late (a carsick child) and they held the tour for us, which we deeply appreciated.
