Man, I can’t even put into words what a great experience we had. I learned so much about the dog sledding sport and loved the interaction with Cody and the dogs. So interesting! The day was absolutely perfect. We were so lucky in Alaska, every guide/expert we interacted with was amazing! This is a must if you come to Alaska. This kennel is so good to their dogs and they know what they are doing in the sport.
We attended the summer mushers experience last month and had a fantastic time with Paige! Highly recommend attending any of the programs that Squid Acres does.
My family and I traveled to Squid Acres on the Denali Highway and it was an absolute highlight of our time in Alaska. The dogs were incredible, and the hospitality and information Cody and Paige shared about their experiences competing in races and raising and racing dogs was amazing. We also loved the private ATV tour/hike with Paige and retired dog Nova in the afternoon. For the time spent and the insights gained from the owners, it was a bargain and I'd recommend it to anyone who is in the Denali area.
One of our favorite Alaska experiences! Personal tour, and we loved hearing all about the Iditarod and meeting the sweet dogs and puppies! Such a cool experience! Highly recommend!!
This is a wonderful tour and I would suggest it to anyone. Cody took us through what it takes to run a dogsled race from gear to the dogs. You get to take a ride with the dogs hooked up to a side by side. We even got to brush them. We booked the all day tour so in the afternoon we got to chose our activity and we chose hiking.
