We love the seafood bar atmosphere and food, and are repeat customers over the past 10-15 years. Occasionally we order take out from the Island Grille. Showed up at 4:00 opening and was immediately told no mussels so no signature saute or cioppino, our first choices. Got the seafood linguine in garlic cream sauce with crab bisque. Bisque was not creamy and had lumps in it. Didn't even look like their bisque. Linguine had no garlic flavor, actually no flavor at all. Seems it was prepared in haste. Took some out of town family here and had a great time. We had the fish and chips, and it was great. The setting is pretty casual, but they have a couple seriously fancy seafood dishes. I'd definitely make a reservation, and call to confirm availability if you want something specific. The restaurant is clean and away from the noise of the casino itself. A very nice experience.
September 2025 update: Stopped by again on a Sunday around 11:45am and we were the only ones there so again we had our choice of seats. Friendly server at the bar, delivered menus right away and took our drink orders. The Squaxin Island Signature Saute with shrimp and tequila lime sauce was again super delicious and delivered hot on the plate within 10 mins after ordering.
