My wife and I spent 4 days/nights at Sprucewold in October. We used it as our basecamp for poking around coastal Maine. The lodge dining room was cozy and warm, and while the lodge dates from the 1920s and has that 20s look, it was the hosts were what made the place unique. They made themselves available for conversation at breakfast (wonderful blueberry pancakes!!) and whenever we popped back in from a long day.
