When every penny counts in this current economy, produce pricing is just as important as gas. There was a time where I would argue sprouts was a better bargain with quality and bulk pricing but it feels as though they've lost that competitive edge the last 20 years. For a little over $5 for 8.5 oz of "freshly sliced" house branded mozzarella you can drive 2 min down the street to trader Joe's for their branded cheese at almost 2/3 the cost at $3.50 unsliced. $9 for a grab and go sandwich that looks like it was portioned out ... read more
