What I call "zoo food". But some of the worst I may have ever had. Price to be expected, cafe was clean and orderly with fine service esp. considering all the kids. But if you can bring your own lunch/snacks or find some packaged food your stomach will thank you.
Ok, only been once, so, maybe some of the food is good. Skip the "BBQ". Who, anywhere in NC, thinks that you need to 1) ask "pork or chicken?" or 2) slather said BBQ with Kraft barbeque sauce? It was also soaking in a cup of grease, which sounds more appealing than it was. The fries were just ok. The kid's chicken was on par with Wendy's but with no flavor. Maybe some other options will taste better, but it's likely I'll never know.
Price: Reasonable for the Location While the prices were about average for the specific menu items, they were very reasonable considering the location. You get good value for what you pay. Great option inside the museum of life and science. The line can get extremely long at lunchtime. We've had great luck placing an order online - it does usually say it'll take an hour to be ready, bit it doesn't always take that long. Kids meals are a great value with lots of options for mains and sides!
