Had a reservation made for this hotel since August and arrived in mid October to find out they over sold the hotel. Offered me no recompense besides sending me next door to a Hilton. Be wary of booking as you may not actually get your room.
The SpringHill Suites, Portage: Where Low Expectations Go to Die :) Our stay was remarkably quiet and peaceful, astonishingly, hear ourselves think without the accompaniment of next door's ventilation issues or hallway drama. Hotel and our room was clean, updated, and nice. We would absolutely recommend the SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Kalamazoo Portage. It’s everything you’d expect from a great hotel and, blessedly, none of what you’ve come to expect from the rest.
This hotel was perfect for a 2-night visit to Kalamazoo recently. Everyone working at the hotel was extremely pleasant, especially Kevin, who helped us work out a complex reservation situation. The rooms are spacious and clean, and they are equipped with everything you need. The complimentary breakfast is also very complete, including hot and cold items, and a waffle-maker to make your own waffle!
