We stayed there for the first time last weekend. Came in to see a show at DPAC. The staff was pleasant but not helpful. They asked what floor we'd like. I said something with a view, since we'd never been there before. We were put on the top floor looking at a road. This is a hotel that calls itself a city view hotel, but there was no view. The beds are the least comfortable bed I've ever slept on in a hotel (hard as rocks). And the continental breakfast, if you could call it that, was pitiful. The room was beautiful very modern! We chose this place because the room came with breakfast. They ought to pay for the breakfast we had to purchase in place of the one they say they offered. The breakfast area was unkept and there was no food at 9am but eggs! No pancake batter, no oatmeal , nothing to eat with the eggs that were cold…. it was a really sad sight. Staff seemed unhappy and unhelpful to restock anything for the last hour. Breakfast staff really needs to do better!
We stayed here when we visited to tour UNC Chapel Hill and Duke. The location was convenient and the rooms were clean. The person who checked us in was pleasant, but she forgot to give us the Bonvoy member gift. I noticed she gave a bag to the person who checked in before us and after us so when I was checking out, I asked what was in the bag and they told me it was for being a Bonvoy member.
