Asked for balcony upon booking. No note was made on the reservation so when arrived we were told they had no more balconies. Once finally settled into a room, realized the AC did not work correctly, so we had to repack up everything and switch rooms. The pool and hotub were both closed for maintance. Had we not been so exhausted from the trip we definitely would have found a location with the AMENITIES listed on their website. The toilet ran after flushing. I reported it to thd desk and maintenance came to repair.
I was truly looking forward to my trip to Charleston, SC and staying at this hotel this weekend for some rest and relaxation. I was so excited, I booked a non-refundable hotel with very special caveats for cancelation such as extreme weather conditions. At the time I booked my weeks ago, Hurricane Erin was not a thing, but sadly, the hurricane caused flooding in Charleston.
