Our car was broken into in the parking lot - window smashed and wiring torn out. The hotel was not able to help us in any way. The police said this type of incident is common in the parking lots of the hotels on this strip of Route 1 and has happened at this hotel before. The hotel management must be aware of this and yet has not taken measures to secure the parking lot or warn visitors. If you must stay and park here, try to park directly in front of the lobby doors. Location, despite being surrounded by businesses and activity, is very isolated in that it is unsafe to walk to things due to traffic, busy roads and positioning of hotel. Front desk staff were friendly and efficient. Our group had two rooms, one had to be changed because of an awful sewage-like smell. Both rooms were not-the-cleanest. Their breakfast seating area was big and many food options. The filters on in the fans were very dirty. The food was the same every day. Eggs, sausage, oatmeal, potatoes instead of having bacon, ham, or other items.
Extremely disappointed. I went because I heard it was renovated - first, I was told that a room with 2 beds is not available until I show the hotel website. Then we went to the room - bathroom had an ancient shower system without proper water drainage. You cannot call this as a ‘renovated’ property and certainly not worth $300 a night.
