10/06/25: I have rented a unit from American Way Storage for almost a year. The entire property is well kept, clean and well lit; they have been responsive with any questions; and, I feel entirely safe when I am there, even after dark. I definitely recommend American Way Storage located in Springfield, IL.
Storage location has easy access and rental options are simple to reserve using web based application.
Online registration was easy, instant access to storage unit, and unit was clean upon arrival. So far, no complaints. Update: turn-in of the storage unit was painless as well.
Fast and easy to sign up and schedule payments. Yes, our lock got cut off once, but we were immediately called and a temporary lock was installed until I was able to replace it. Don't think anything was taken either. Prices reasonable and checking out process was smooth as well. Start to finish was a good experience working with them.
