Administrators: My concerns in no particular order: Achieve 100% compliance with federal and state laws regarding students with disabilities. Protect the 1st and 4th Amendment rights of students. Stop bullying. Stop zero tolerance. Both bullying and the abdication of discretion to address any discipline or other problem are abuses of authority. You folks are well enough paid. As if that were really a measure of your competence. Yet, incompetent teachers are not handled with any zero tolerance. Nor sexual predators. All you d... read more
Good schools very good teachers
I don't even live in your state nor do I know how i ended up on this page, but I will say, based on what I have read, I would not recommend this district. The grammar in these reviews is enough to make me question the teachers they have employed!!
I really want some answers about this and some viral video that went on fb of a Washington middle school teacher letting his little nephew beat on another child. I am being asked to speak to the news and everything else and my children are also in your care. If I don’t hear from someone I’ll be stopping by the main office to speak to someone tomorrow. Thanks.
Our daughter graduated from Springfield Schools and went off to college well prepared for the academic rigor. She’s come back to teach the next generation. There are many great teachers here and the curriculum is often very advanced, more like a large urban district. Very progressive and diverse!
I just had to go home . There was no air conditioning on one whole side of the school @lanphierHighSchool
Lanphier high school has no air conditioning. and our kids are expected to sit in 100 ➕ degree weather and learn. something needs to be done about it

Some rooms in that wing do not have electrical capacity to support additional window units. This concern is being addressed through our long-term facilities master plan that calls for comprehensive reconstruction of Lanphier High School. These extensive renovations would include central air conditioning in all parts of the building. You can find all of the info... read more
District 186 has made an impact on me. My husband, myself, my son, siblings, in laws, family, friends and partners are graduates of this school district. Understanding that everything cannot be perfect, I do believe that the district was, and still is great. I couldn’t be prouder of the alumni who have graduated from this district and gone on to do great things. (PM me if you want to know who) It is not just school it is so much more! The impact of what happens in those buildings each day affects our neighborhoods, our commu... read more
My kids have had a wonderful experience with District 186. My daughter graduated Top Senior of her college and was the commencement speaker at her college graduation. There were some struggles, but those struggles only made her stronger.
