Springfield housing authority doesn't want to hear from tenants who report problems and issues in their unit, they sweep them under the rug but if you miss a month of rent, they'll evict you. Maintenance is a joke, they won't hire experienced workers, they pull them off the streets with no experience or training. Springfield housing authority does offer affordable housing but I don't believe they conduct thorough background checks on the people they rent to. It's all about Money.😡
I have been waiting for about 8 months on waiting list. Now there saying there’s not housing people’s now because all managers are in Vegas at a retreat. To hell with the people homeless. Nice vacation on the city.

Horrible office unbelievable I went in there about a year ago to apply for income based housing then they sent me over to the welfare office to get some kind of paper filled out saying that I never been on welfare I did that and I didn't hear from them for 9 months I called them they told me that they tried to call my former landlord and they couldn't contact them well why didn't you call me and get another call I get another phone number why don't you go to Google and get another phone number unbelievable how incompetent th... read more
Beautiful people. Friendly service and helpful. You must be patient. Have all your paperwork together and if you don't have everything they will set you up with a time to come back again. Housing is not as bad. The people there really work to go out of their way to make sure that you have an affordable place to stay. I am so grateful for Miss Tomeka Bilbo and Miss Regina Smith. I am so glad that they're there to assist me when I need them.
