I really disappointed to hear they shut down. It's a nice place to help young people!
I graduated from here in 2012 and this program had me change my entire life around for the best. All of the teachers and staff were caring and went the extra mile to help you. I still recommend Job Corps to teenagers and young adults for anyone who wants to get their GED, diploma, their drivers license, or to learn a trade. I went here in 2005, and I was only there for a little less than a year. I am looking at most of these reviews and I'm so surprised how much it has gone down. We had huge portions of food; everything was clean for the most part. The only issues I had were with other students, other than that, my time there was good. I also didn't stay on-site, but my friend did, and she had a good experience too. Only thing good about this place was being in paint with the awesome instructor Matt everything else was kind of garbage bad dorms mold unsafe living area respiratory problems from being in dorms it's crazy to me how this place is considered functional now if you lived off campus that's a whole different story you just get to come to trade and leave but being on campus was probably one of the worst 7 months of my life and then the top it off I got 100% completion on my tar and trade and my i cars.
