This practice has provided me with the worst series of medical experiences I've ever had in my life. Prior to going to this practice, I had nothing but positive encounters with doctors and treatment teams. Atlantic Orthopedics is a case study in how not to operate a practice. I'm sure if you have a simple, routine orthopedic issue or injury you will be fine here, but I highly encourage you to avoid AO if you have a serious injury or a case that presents even the slightest problem. RecommendedFor over a decade, countless specialists and misdiagnoses starting at age four, I finally made an appointment for my fifteen year old to see Dr. Welch. I found him by searching online after walking out on a Harvard doctor at Boston's Children saying "he just needs to lose weight." All staff members at Atlantic Orthopaedics in both the Portsmouth and York offices were exceptional with us.
