Hi, I brought my son in for a haircut recently and asked for a #4 on top. What we expected — and what we've always gotten in the past — is a scissor cut to that length, not a full buzz with clippers. Unfortunately, the stylist used clippers with a #4 guard and buzzed the top without confirming the method. It left his hair much shorter than we wanted or expected, and there was no discussion beforehand to clarify. He was really upset afterward, and honestly, so was I.
