Hope this does not happen to you – I have never been there but they must have good food because someone stole my credit card and ate $132.20 worth of food at this place.
Overpriced with lack of quality, regardless of whatever it was in the past it is now awful. – Save your money, this place is worse than red lobster and costs more. I had fried seafood (the prices were high and I refused to pay $20 for food in what appeared to be a dive-bar). The oysters had shell pieces in some of them and grit sand on my teeth, this was beyond the usual amount you would expect, and the aftertaste on these oysters was awful. Mahi Mahi was Great !! – This was my first time eating at Spondivits and the food was pretty good. I'm from South Florida so I know about great seafood. If you are looking for a place that looks good on the inside and not loud this is not the place for you. The food is good and the wait could be a while if its the weekend.
Boring Doesn't live up to the hype, and the vegetarian options are very poor (though I understand you're at a seafood place, so you wouldn't expect much). Dreadful location too unless you're at the airport with time to kill.
Best seafood in Atlanta! – One word to describe this place- delicious. The food is so good its crazy. The wait was about 40 minutes but once seated the food was brought out promptly. It was extremley busy and the atmosphere is kind of "backwoodish" but that will be the last thing on your mind when you're scarfing on one of their delicious crab buckets. Try the place for yourself and you will be pleasently suprised! I'll def. be back!
Samantha Brady The staff is very rude. The place is small and crowded. Although I must say I was told it is not as crowded as it once was due to a young lady dying from their oysters on last year. My staff and I will not be visiting when we are scheduled to be in Atlanta next year on our annual conference.
Alright This did not live up to expectations. I thought it was going to be superb after I had been told by several people how terrific this establishment is. It didn't even feel like I was on a beach. Between the traffic and loud talkers there was little room for conversation. The only good thing was the service.
Not bad . . . Most people rant and rave about this restaurant and I have yet to understand what the big deal is with it. I gave it a 4-star rating for the food, which is well prepared (for seafood). On the other hand, this location is always crowded and the wait staff is not what I would consider extraordinary. Pricing is sufficient for "fresh" seafood, I guess. Try it for yourself, and tell us what you think.
