I had an uncomfortable experience at Spokes a couple of months ago. As I approached the counter to look at the menu, the owner threw up a hand and said, "You're after him," assuming I was trying to cut in front of another customer. I told him I was just trying to read the menu. When I asked a few questions about the menu, he kept responding with "What?" as if he couldn't understand me.
