I want to visit more often but the wait staff is too lax (not professional) and the amount of Goo on the tables is amazing. Inside Needs a good cleaning (lemon oil on walls and strip tables with vinegar or replace table tops). The food was good but I would have enjoyed it better without my wrists sticking to the table.
My husband is from New England, where many long-time immigrants have settled and established restaurants and diners with delicacies to suit any palate. When he moved to Oklahoma, I was so frustrated when attempting to find a restaurant that would please his refined taste. He loved steak, had never eaten brisket or bbq, and even he was praising the cook, wait staff and decor at the Split Rail. Although the SplitRail has changed hands more times than I can count apparently, it is now back in the capable hands of the original owners and the food lets you know... The food and service at this place are unsurpassed in the bbq world around here so I am very happy to see them doing well. If they ever close, it will be a great loss to the Coweta dining community.
