The chowder! – I can't really add much to the reviews below. The chowder here is AMAZING! Makes this place a destination in itself, although the waits can be LONG!
MUST TRY clam chowder – I was surprised when I saw a line out the door, snaking around the corner, for TAKE OUT. After all, it is only clam chowder, right? Wrong. It was one of the best clam chowders I've ever had. And the grilled bread is sooooo good! Splash Cafe is a short walk from the pier. I would suggest skipping the crowded dining room and taking your chowder to go. It's worth the wait.
Best Clam Chowder!!!!! – I loved this place!!!!!!! It was the best place we foound in Pismo!!!! Yes the lines are long but the clam chowder is worth the wait! It is served in a sourdough bread bowl and costs less than $6!!!! Where else would you find a great tasting chowder at that price?! The fish and chips were fantastic!!!! I totally recommend this place!! It was definitely worth our drive!!!!
Best clam chowder in Pismo – The clam chowder soup was excellent, along with a loaf of toasted sourdough bread! The soup and bread was all I needed, but the fish and chips was alright too.
look for the line out the door, best chowder in cali! – A friend and i were visiting the area and were looking for a CLEAN, and fresh seafood place near the beach, it was the only place with a HUGE line out the door. which in my experience means it must be cheap and worth the wait! The BEST Chowder in Pismo (possibly in Cali!) – Just try it, they have won the chowder championship since I can remember and the quality is always amazing...MUST get it in the sourdough bread bowl. I live on the East coast and dream about Splash...I might take a trip just to get some:)
