Dr. Strauss has made a wonderful difference in my life. When I first consulted him — at age 79 — my lifelong scoliosis was advancing fast. With a combination of his special techniques and exercises, and a brace worn for part of the day, we were able to stop the advance and keep me moving under my own power. I am so grateful!
A big thank you to Dr Strauss and his excellent team for helping my father with his scoliosis. I myself am a pediatrician and I know how busy and demanding it can get when serving patients. Dr. Strauss is the best doctor I ever met. My son was diagnosed with scoliosis at age of 9. I was very worried, sad and not much information at that time. I took my son to the orthopedic surgeon. His curve was 15 degrees. The orthopedic surgeon did not recomend anything, just wait and check his curve every 6 months. I couldn't take the risk just to wait for the curve to get bigger. I have severe scoliosis that went untreated until I saw Dr. Strauss six years ago as an older adult. My history: after much pain, and a herniated disc resolved with temporary steroid shots, I went to see a spine specialist MD. He kindly but firmly told me they did not prescribe a hard brace for adults unless they had trauma, such as being unable to breathe. I went anyway to see Dr. Strauss.
