Dr. Alvarado and the staff at spine and pain center have always treated me professionally and with the up most respect I highly recommend them to anyone that needs help for their pain.
Dr. Alvarado & NP are great 4☆ However, nurses & staff are 1☆due to being reluctant to help with prior auth, med alternatives, insurance issues(appeals) etc... We were prescribed med that wasn't covered. We contacted insurance & were advised none were in formulary&all required prior auth. I contacted nurse, she advised to try OTC meds, which we had exhausted all currently available. Meanwhile, still experiencing pain and discomfort. Fantastic, professional, responsive!
After many calls to the nursing staff explaining and re-explaining my physical needs and to quit passing me back and forth from one medical person to another, I finally demanded to talk with the only one that knows me and that is Dr. Alvarado. Doc told them to get me in and they squeezed me in and I got to discuss my overall issues and was able to get some trigger point shots while I was in the office.
