I left this practice extremely disappointed. My biggest concern was not simply that they wouldn’t provide the treatment I was hoping for, but the apparent lack of flexibility and understanding when treating a patient with opioid use disorder who was also dealing with significant acute pain. I am thankful for Dr. Choi and his staff at Koloa Spine Center, Kauai for giving my life back. After numerous visits to different physicians over a 2 year period, he was the only physician who listened and understood the importance of how my leg pain was affecting my life. I am a 65-year-old woman whose body and bones are getting revenge for a misspent youth. I had a disctectomy fusion C4-C5 causing permanent nerve damage to my right spine(falling out of a car), a lumbar fusion (falling off of bucking horses).
