Spillian is a lovely venue, but what really sold us were the people. The owners, Mark and Leigh, are retired theater people and they are there to put on a show. And you are the director! They really encourage you to make it your day, and it's a truly customizable experience. There is no fixed menu, or seating arrangement, or timeline. I'd give more than 5 . Everything for my son's wedding was perfect!!! Staff , service , venue & grounds, food. Even though it rained most of the previous night but the staff magically knew that the sky would clear for the ceremony in the beautiful outdoor setting. We could not have asked for a more beautiful & perfect weekend of celebration!!! THANK YOU SPILLIAN!!!!
I had my wedding at Spillian this past weekend, in May 2025, and it was by far the best choice my husband and I could have made for a venue. We first visited in October 2023 after inquiring with numerous other venues that didn't fit what we were looking for. As a wedding photographer, Spillian is one of my fave venues in the Catskills! With getting ready on site, dinner and dancing in the woods, cocktails on the porch of the gorgeous house, it's a top choice you should absolutely peek at! Secondly, their food, phenomenal!
Attended a cousins wedding here. Amazing venue, very well cared for historic mansion and made to feel very inviting. The way indoor and outdoor spaces blended together were great. Incredibly memorable event. Only complaint is that it got pretty warm inside, but easy enough to move between cool outdoors and warm indoors as needed.
