horrid for 116.00 (for 2) – worst seafood ever!!!!! i've never spent so much and been physcally ill with in a hour of eating it. king crab was too salty,crab cake was ok lobster was tough and steak was not good calamari was undercooked

Excellent – The food was fresh And delicious. My stuffed salmon was wonderful. Upscale seafood and steak joint surprisingly not overpriced for the quality. Tried several apps. and 4 of the deserts all wonderful but the apple pie was to die for and the mac and cheese divine. The service was good and manager Troy was courteous and helpful.

Very Good Food – My husband and I ate there for Valentines Day and we had a special for two. The crab cake was the best I ever had. Excellent. I can go again and just order the crab cakes. Very nice atmosphere. We enjoyed it very much.

largely unspectacular – I've eaten at McCormick and Schmick's twice. The first time, I ordered the barbecue shrimp and andouille with grits. I couldn't finish it. The shrimp and sausage were literally smothered in barbecue sauce that completely overwhelmed the dish. I make my own andouille so I'm a little biased, but theirs was fatty, flavorless and overcooked. So last night, my wife and I decided to try it again. Mediocre at best – I ordered the tilapia, and the fish was very thin, it didn't seem like it was a parmesan crust - more like normal breading, and was very greasy. The Ladies bathroom had non-working soap dispensers, a paper towel holder that was stuffed so full you could not even use it, and a run-down feel overall. And, much like you would expect a seafood place in Uotown Charlotte to be, it was expensive. Not a good value for the money, IMO. Go down a big to Ruth's Chris instead.

Don't order the Oysters – Valentines Day Dinner for two, ordered the Oyster Sampler ($25 for a doz.) The first one was fine, the second I spit out, it smelled like rotten fish guts. I could not eat another oyster. My friend finished the oysters and he also had a bad one. The waiter replaced the two bad oysters, I could not get the smell or taste out of my mouth. Loved everything i ate! – We went to celerbrate my huband's birthday. Was a very upscale! We had clam chowder, scallops for an app which was totally amazing! I ordered the stuffed salmon (it has blue crab, shrimp and brie) for the entree which was perfectly cooked! We also enjoyed oreo cheesecake for dessert! overated – the oyster stew was actually a spinach and leek, really good, but should have been called spinach and leek stew, as 2 oyster were fihgting with themself in the middle of the plate! the main dish was ok, but the duck was served with fried squid, that did not have much taste and I was disapoointed to great fired food in a resrtaurant that is supposed to cook! plus I really did not see why sauid would go with duck, instead of a nicely cooked side... overall I think it's not that fine and play a little on the menu tit... read more
