Great for Groups – I had never been to McCormick's before, but decided to go for my birthday. They easily accomidated all 14 of us, and even had menus printed that said "Happy Birthday" on them. Hands down, it was one of the best meals of my life. We had goat cheese bruschetta, clam chowder, crab cakes, salmon stuffed with brie and crab, sea scallops, tiger shrimp pasta...everyone LOVED their meal. Good location, average food – If you want to eat with one of the best views of the bay, then this is your place. Lunch specials aren't bad and the food is solid, but definitely over-priced! It's a better place to get a drink and enjoy the view than actually spend money on a meal there. Leave the eating to the tourists and poor saps that have to work in the neighborhood and don't have anywhere else to eat. never going back and telling everyone i know – The food is mediocre - bottom line. For seafood?- Oceanairre. (even though I don't like chains) I'm here to vent about the manager. I've had better... – I've heard such good things about this restaurant, which is probably why I was so underwhelmed. Our waitress left much to be desired. I was tempted to take a dollar off her tip for every time she called someone at our table "love". We had the unfortunate luck to be next to the party room which was loud and subsequently caused our food to arrive very slowly. The food was only okay, but we all highly enjoyed the chocolate bag dessert. Not sure if this place is worth another try or not.
Surprisingly Good – We had expected a bit of a tourist trap, but were greatly surprised. Everything, including the service, was first rate. I had a Maine lobster steamed to perfection. My partner had halibut which was as fresh as could be. We had to wait about ten minutes for our 8:30 Friday night reservation.
happy hour and freshest seafod – OK I do not like chain restuarants but McCormick and Schmick's defines a great dining experience. The absolute freshest seafood and the best oysters ever bar none. We always went there for the happy hour, which happens both early and late, two happy hours a day is a good thing. Best darn seafood I have ever eaten!!!! – I don't know how y'all could rate this place an 8.7! I was in the other saturday night with my wife and had a wonderful time. I started with fresh oysters, they tasted like I went the ocean and pulled them out of the water myself. Top notch seafood and service – Though it was my first time dining at M&S, my expectations were high. Friends have raved about this place for years. M&S surpassed by expectations above and beyond. We had a wonderful assortment of appetizers, the oysters, I believe to be the best the city has to offer. The lobster was incredible---fresh and delicious. Good French Frys – The best thing they have are the frys. Not too thrilled with the fish. The cod is ok, but needs more seasoning
