Thanks for the side of Botulism – This was literally the wost meal I have had in at least the past year, if not 2. From the moment we sat down, the paper placemat and the offer of "tap" water set the tone. From there, we were served what could at best be desribed as mildly warm crabcakes that tasted slightly off. Wow! what a gem! – We loved it...........went out for a evening together and had a great time. Service and food was outstanding and would recommend it to everyone. While we where there we saw the $1.95 happy hour appetizers that looked more like dinner than apps. poor service, barely adequate food – We had reservations for a birthday party so the menus said "Happy Birthday (Name)" on them. Unfortunately after that, the service went down hill. The greeters/waiters took forever to seat us even though the place was empty. They took over 30 minutes to take our drink orders, and another 20 minutes to come back and try pressuring my friend into buying a high priced appetizer, which she finally did. Great time, reasonable price... – We were seated within 5 minutes of our reservation time. Our waiter (Roy) was Awesome-He was very personable, knowledgeable of the specials (& dishes in general), & friendly with a great sense of humor. Good place to take out of towners – I loved the location of this restaurant. It is in front of the harbor with a river view. My husband and i have been there a few times and have never had to wait for a table. I personally liked the way the restaurant has tiered seating. I liked the ambiance of this place. Horrible Experience...Never again! – Jake's has been one of my favorite places to have great seafood and enjoy a wonderful atmosphere. Well, that was to my most recent experience. The service was absolutely horrible. Our waiter was rude and disrespectful. High end seafood delivers high end service, food at commensurate prices. Great happy hour deals! – Moving from DC where we enjoyed their DC and Bethesda branches, the food and service was very consistent. It's not a dinner place for those light of pocketbooks.
