Not all it's cracked up to be! – We went there on a Friday evening. We ordered crab dip appetizer, and found it over-bearingly salty. The waitress was nice and offered us a different appetizer, so we selected the crab cake. It was still a little salty, but better. For the entree, I ordered sauteed salmon, which was very good. Food is great - Service is not – We had a reservation on saturday night. Many people were waiting for tables and there was nowhere to sit at the bar to wait in comfort. After over an hour, we finally got a table. The service was very slow. It was a very long, drawn out meal because of the slow service. A Bit Pricey but Good Food – Spenger's is a good restaurant to go to if you like seafood. I've never experienced the bad service that other reviewers talked about. Every time I go, I am always satisfied with the service and food. Just wish it was a little cheaper!
Great Service & Food – It was a great dinner food and service were very good wonderful atmosphere I asked my future wife to marry me and she said "YES" We had a wonderful evening and plan on returning soon
Always Great – I go here quite often and always find it to be great. While they may slip every now and again, keep in mind that this place is ALWAYS very busy, they remain a great sea-food restaurant. We have always had the most professional service. The manager heard it was our anniversary and came out with two glasses of champagne and congratulated us. It was a very nice touch to a wonderful evening. Good oyster and great server. – First of all, I would like to talk about the seating. We called for a reservation at around 6:45pm for a 7:30 reservation. They suggested 8pm so we took that instead. We arrived at the restaurant at around 7:45 and the seating hostess said our table won't be ready til 8pm. We sat at the bar and had a drink. Birthday disappointment – On March 5th my husband and I had dinner for my fiftieth birthday at McCormick and Kuleto?s. The service was slow, with no explanation of the extended service time between the delivery of our salads and our entrees. When dinner did arrive, I had to send the fish back because it wasn?t cooked all the way through. Slow and indifferent... – McCormick & Schmick's has some good food. Unfortunately, the experience is soured by the poor service. Both the hostess and the waitstaff were MIA most of the time and indifferent when present. There was a 10 minute wait for the hostess to show up to find us a table. A 10-15 minute wait for the server to show his face. A 20-30 minute wait for the food to reach our table (simple order, too). By time the food arrived, it was lukewarm. happy hour happy hour happy hour! – Cheap happy hour bites with free entertainment walking past the windows... being located off Stark does seem to have some benefits! Our server made great drink recomendations, thought they don't do deals on the drinks for happy hour, just the food. The happy hour food menu is extensive, so there is something for everyone. I have gone there for dinner before as well, and remember enjoying my food, but really nothing else. I will be back for the happy hour!
