Oysters and so much more – This restaurant has something for everyone. My family loves the fantastic selection of seafood. I love that the selection of oysters come from both coasts and, like all of the seafood at this restaurant, are flown in daily. Everyday there is a new menu so you can choose something different at every visit. My husband loves the steak and pasta dishes. Since I work in the Denver Tech Center I sometimes stop by after work and enjoy the very inexpensive happy hour food. All in all, considering Denver is... read more
Don't waste your time – Read the reviews giving this place only 1 star. They are correct. I'd never been, was counting on the 4, 5-star experience, and was sadly disappointed. The ambiance is nothing special. The elevator music, the "pre-fab" decor - pure chain restaurant fare. The food - mussels as an app were "fishy" and disappointing, the filet was chewy, but with a good flavor, and the stuffed shrimp left a bit to be desired. My boyfriend had the crab legs - again, we'd had far better. Worse yet, the waitress kept trying... read more
Good chain retaurant you can depend on – Has part of the McCormick & Schmitt chain you can count on the quality of food, selection, and atmosphere. This location is now a bit off the beaten path compared to the new location at Bridgeport. That makes it a bit easier to get into and less parking issues. The wine and food selection is good. The staff is well trained, professional, and seem to enjoy treating you to a night out. What pulled my rating down. Well, my family and I had Thanksgiving dinner here today. The rolls we wer... read more
McCormick & Kuleto's – Service was excellent. The steak was grilled just the way I like it med rare. atmosphere was also very nice. I would reccomend this place.
Absolutely enjoyable from start to finish! – My "date" suggested if (for our first date together, she had been there once before years ago and liked it).. I got there early and when I sat down at the bar I saw that a recently met friend was the "Bartender"! (I hate the taste of alcohol, but he mixed me a pair of "Long Islands Ice Tea's" and they were EXCELLENT!) My "date showed up and he fixed her a "Virgin Bloody Mary" and she said it was perfect (Thanks, Mike L") Our seats were ready at the exact time they were promised on... read more
OUTSTANDING FISH! – I first ate at Spengers about a month ago. I am a vegetarian and ordered the Astoria Sole. My friend ordered the crabcakes. The Astoria Sole was OUTSTANDING...perfectly cooked. The bread that was served was excellent as well. The crabcakes were so-so. The fish was so good, I could hardly wait to go back, which I did last week on a weekday at about 2:00 p.m. We waited too long for our server, but this time both orders, the barbequed Salmon and the Rex Sole, were EXCELLENT. My friend was so impressed with t... read more
Good fish selection – We had a lot better places in San Francisco when I lived there, but Jake's has a good selection of fish and they do a pretty good job. Oysters are always good. They're also the closest place to my house and have a cool bar.
ICK – The decor of the restaurant does not come off as "old school class" as it seems they are going for. Instead, it just feels old. Was supposed to eat here with a date, went in, felt like we should have come for the early bird special, and left. Smells like cleaning supplies, but doesn't look clean. Won't go back there. Ever.
Clubby corporate restaurant draws seafood lovers with fresh daily catches and posh atmosphere. – In Short Upscale and sophisticated, this chain features art deco-inspired trappings such as dark wood, shiny brass and beveled glass. Servers clad in black and white weave through cocktailing couples and businessmen at the bar. The classic American, seasonally inspired seafood menu changes daily; specialties include starters of Dungeness crab cakes and oysters on the half shell, plus entrees like cedar plank-roasted salmon, saute... read more
