Best happy hour – The best happy hour in Portland, and great service too! We sat outside and was served by a waitress who was so fast so nice that her alone would put this restaurant on the map! And the food, in one word wonderful. Go there, just go and you tell me it's not the best place to eat for happy hour in Portland.
Good family restaurant – When i first when i saw the main menu i was disappointed because i only saw seafood. I like seafood but i just wasn't really in the mood for it. I asked to see the kids menu, because i'm eleven so i'm sorta in between. Restaurants should have a tween menu, too! So i scanned the kids menu and all i saw was fettuchini which i love but i prefer it with cheese sauce which wasn't on the menu. When the waiter came to take our order i asked if he could make a cheese sauce. He said he could. I was expecting ... read more
Try someplace else – Accompanied my wife here on a Saturday night; she was with a rather large group (probably 30 people total), which could explain some of the service problems...but the menu was fixed (choice of salad, entree & dessert was limited). The food was terrible. I had eaten at the Seattle location of this chain in June, and both the service and food there were forgettable as well. I'll never go in their doors again.
Clubby corporate restaurant draws seafood lovers with fresh daily catches and posh atmosphere. – In Short Upscale and sophisticated, this chain features art deco-inspired trappings such as dark wood, shiny brass and beveled glass. Servers clad in black and white weave through cocktailing couples and businessmen at the bar. The classic American, seasonally inspired seafood menu changes daily; specialties include starters of Dungeness crab cakes and oysters on the half shell, plus entrees like cedar plank-roasted salmon, saute... read more
When you're in the mood for an innovative menu – First off this is near the top of expensive worthwhile dining in seattle. This is the place you go when youre in the mood for extremely quality ingredients assembled into flavor combinations you would not expect. In that the chef does a fantastic job. The menu is printed every day with the catch of the day and the chef's choices. The setting is quaint and romatic. I would recommend reservations and nice attire.
Beautiful Decor, Excellent Seafood, But Pricey – We both really enjoyed our experience here. The wine list is varied and very accomodating for the seafood fare offerings. The Oysters Rockefeller that we tried as an appetizer were wonderful, but they only give you five of them on an order. I would prefer to be able to order a dozen, without having to place two and a half orders. But they were delectable. The ambience of McCormick & Schmick's is really upscale, formal, and cozy. It's a great spot to share a romantic evening wi... read more
Fresh Fish my foot! Stay Away!! – Walk in and you smell stale beer and cigarettes, like a frat house from the days of yore. We walked further into the barroom, to discover there was not too many people in there, It just smelled. After a drink at the bar, we went to our table. At $13, I expected a very good Shrimp Cocktail. What we got were 4 medium sized old, tired shrimp on a small plate. That's it, with bad cocktail sauce. We sent them straight back after one bite each. We had a crab cake that was much better . While we ch... read more

Disappointment – My wife and I dinned here in June 2008. With reservations we waited 20 minutes. Strike One! Ordered a $30 bottle of wine that should have not even made the wine list. Strike Two! Menu was fantastic. I ordered the sea bass. Normally sea bass is about an inch or more tall with the actual size dependent on the price of the dish. What I got was one of those flash frozen flat fillets. The entire dish was underwhelming. Strike Three! Stay away
