Extremely disappointed – My wife and I went there because we had a discount coupon from an event we attended. The place looked nice and we thought we would be in for a great evening. My wife was debating between the clams and the lobster ravioli. The waiter suggested the clams (apparently more expensive than the ravioli). Awesome food and excellent service – We (Me & My Husband) often go to this restaurant. It has an excellent food, service and the ambience. I love this restaurant. The waitresses are very courteous. Great view and great food – The food is excellent. Definitely try their calamari appetizer. Their Maker's Mark mojito is very good too. Everyone I was with loved what they ordered, from the salmon to the crab to the steamed oysters.....even the pork chops. And, right on the Inner Harbor, you can't beat the location.
Don't waste your money. – Been here several times over the years with out of towners. This place is running on reputation that it earned years ago, but no longer deserves. Food is wayyy overpriced for what you get. Especially in this town, one can find a truly inspired meal, a dazzling one, for the same price or less. Soup tastes like it came from a can. low class help – trashy bartenders, terrible service... So DON'T ruin your whole night because of this joint... go somewhere else.
Excellent Seafood in the middle of the country – I've dined at McCormick & Schmicks in six US cities and they consistently provide exceptionally well prepared seafood meals. Service reflects an effective training progtram in every respect from advice to not being obsequious. I find no evidence of the negative comments provided in several of your reviews. I suspect "fiddling."
Best kept happy hour secret! – check out their happy hour during the week and on sundays during football season. happy hour times are early though, i think it ends at 6. but for $3 1/2 lb burger and fries and other $3 $4 and $5 specials, it cant be beat!
Go to a cheaper dive bar instead – My first and only experience here was horrible. My boyfriend and I went for the tax day special that was advertised as entrees for $10.40 a piece. We thought it would be a great deal at a restaurant that he's liked for years. He's sober now, and the deal was only available in the bar area. McCormick & Schmick's Harborside "disappointed" - Edit review March 30, 2009 - Doesn't like it - My husband and I ate dinner at this restaurant last night to take advantage of a coupon that we were given. We had to ask to have bread served to us. It was brought at the same time as our meal. Neither of us were able to finish our food as it was so poor.
