While on a field work trip in early December, my minivan began having serious problems with both slow acceleration from stops and sudden wild rpm increases on even slight upgradients. Over 300 miles from home, I was fortunate to make it to my sister's house near Sheboygan, and started calling repair shops at about 3:30p Saturday afternoon.
