Remarkable Skill I visited Dr. Schaeffer for alarming back symptoms. He is a sympathetic physician with broad medical knowledge outside his specialty. Dr. Schaeffer has astonishing skills in diagnosis and treatment. I visited him only four times, because he fixed the symptoms I had. At the end of treatment, he determined that a (very thin) shoe lift would cause the entire problem to resolve itself in the event of a recurrence, and -- to my surprise -- it has done so. Very, very skilled and intelligent – I visited Dr. Schaeffer for intense back symptoms. It turned out that he has almost magical skills in diagnosis and treatment. I visited him only four times, because he fixed the symptoms I had. Dr. Schaeffer's receptionist was efficient and gracious, and (on my first visit) was remarkably reassuring.
Go find a real doctor! I had a lower back pain and sciatica when I showed up. He was recommended by a acupuncturist from OM center in Somerville. Dr. Schaefer looked like he didn't know him. His wife, also his secretary, prepared me for a lift - an insert that raises leg. She took 1+ hrs on bio and than he spent another 1-hrs on reviewing it. Than he gave me a light chiropractor maneuver. He ordered X-rays and charged $450! They take cash only. Next apt I got a shoe lift, long talk and chiropractic maneuver again. Cost $375!... read more
