Highly recommend checking this place out. We spent four hours digging through the tailings and time flew we could have spent all day. Staff were friendly and happy to help us identify opals and what to look for. We found some really cool rocks with huge chunks of opal. We will definitely return and will probably do the mine tour next time.

They offer you to buy their pay dirt bags saying you will find something amazing in each bag. Not only do you spend 30 dollars for what they are offering you spend another 20 in shipping. I see a lot of fake posts on these rock counting sites. I'm telling you now, do not invest in this.It's a scam. Here is a photo of what's inside my pay dirt bag. I order 2 by the way . I purchased a rough stone to be cut in the beginning of October 2025...I have gotten nothing but excuses and we'll have that for you soon. It's the end of February! DON'T GET ANYTHING FROM THIS PLACE! I am big into supporting local, but I won't ever get anything from them again!

Horrible experience. We paid to have a spot secured last year and was canceled due to weather. We not only were out that money for holding the spot but they advised we would get a gift bag in the mail. We didn't get anything or our money back 5 months later. What a joke

Stopped at the mine last April. big mine was not open yet.The mini mine was so much fun for rock hounds especially when you love opal. The guys Isaac,Kade and Ty go above and beyond to make it an experience you’ll remember.Erin is super helpful in every way .They do beautiful work as well..
