I'd heard good things about Spencer Aviation and had signed up for the ground school. Max was a great instructor who was very knowledgeable, and helped simplify some complex concepts and provide great memory tools. Upon receiving a passing score in the classes final exam, I received an endorsement to take the FAA Written exam which I passed a few weeks later. I took a discovery flight at a Spencer Aviation. During the preflight inspection, the CFI, in his early 20’s with 2-3 years flying experience, told me he knew the preflight checklist well enough that he did not have to use it, and thus did not use the checklist. Other than that very friendly staff, great aircraft.
Good people, good atmosphere.
