I specifically went to find someone that specialized in PTSD and trauma (not military related) and BOY DID I FIND AN AMAZING ONE. My therapist is spectacular. She was always encouraging me to get things checked by doctors to verify symptoms were related to PTSD and triggers and not neurological issues, she helped me relate things to my partner (had sessions with us together in addition to individual ones) and learn to understand him, and she didnt force the religious conversations but continued them after I brought them up. ... read more
