My advice from personal experience is to not use Speedy Title. Poor attention to detail, difficult to get straight answers, sends closing documents at the last minute, and incorrectly disperses funds. Speedy will most likely respond to this review and say it was my fault or my realtor’s fault for not pointing out all their mistakes. That’s ok but they don’t realize how professional and detailed other title companies in Michigan are compared to Speedy Title.
Some years ago my husband and I purchased a home and used them as the Title / Escrow of our transaction, and the deed was recorded to the county more than one month later after closing! Now I purchased a home, and of course I didn't select them as my Title company, but the seller had them, but unfortunately they were again the ones to record the deed of my new home, and again one more time it was recorded more than one month later!!! Speedy Title was on the buy side of one of my transactions of which I was the listing agent. My sellers were issued a check by Speedy Title on the day of closing for their proceeds. Closing took place on a Friday. By late Tuesday of the following week, my seller's bank called to notify them that Speedy Title's check had bounced. They called me immediately to report their proceeds had not been paid to them as the check had bounced. First time using Speedy Title, overall my experience was good. Violet went above and beyond to make sure my concerns were addressed and resolved in a timely manner. Very impressed with her customer service.
Charge for things they don’t need, don’t give escrow deposits back timely.
