We had a great experience working with River. She worked with my 8 year old son. She quickly and accurately assessed his areas of need and engaged my son with meaningful speech exercises and homework assignments that really helped with his speech clarity. She was very transparent with my son about the purpose of speech, the process of speech therapy, and our goals for speech therapy. River is amazing! Our son has a rare genetic condition that predisposes him to speech delays and apraxia. Fortunately, a new program we found helps to prevent or reduce the chances of him developing those issues. River was willing to learn the program and started working with our son when he was just 6 months old when most SLPs said we needed to wait until he was 2-3! We worked with River as a Babble Bootcamp trainer SPL as our daughter is at increased risk for developing apraxia of speech. River was always professional, kind, and helpful. It was clear that she always had our best intentions in mind.
My son has been going to River for about a year. His speech has improved sooooooo much! Before starting his nobody could understand him except for me. Now he is able to communicate effortlessly with everyone. He can be quite a handful, but River is always patient and kind. I HIGHLY recommend River and Speech Flow!!
Ive been tongue tied for all my life. The exercises River has me doing has been making a noticeable difference in more than just my speech, and has really improved my breathing. You should definitely give her a try, if you have any issues with your speech!
