Some clinicians care deeply for their patients and for the work and I believe they mean well. However, Spectrum didn't help me and in many ways left me traumatised and alone. I don't feel they take accountability for providing holistic care or working with the clients life. I also feel if you are shy or not assertive they kind of take advantage of this and dictate what Ur care needs are. I shut down, broke down, and left in great distress with no plan and no recovery goals met after extended engagement with them in 2023.

I feel I need to speak of my experience to make sure others can make an informed choice. I don't think I got to make an informed choice, because of the clumsy and painful assessment process by a senior psychiatrist at Spectrum, I am so sad and upset I listened and went to their programs. From the get go I felt invisible and like I didn't matter. I felt it was a push to get me to go here so I'd end up with nowhere else to turn. There are some nice people who work there and staff are friendly, especially reception. The clinicians call you back and followup with you a lot out of sessions. The place is well run and welcoming. Sometimes it was a bit confusing who was in charge of what.
