I needed some river rock for landscaping walk areas for my dogs. Unfortunately, they like many other stone companies in the area are out of small river rock, so I needed to choose between pea pebbles or medium river rock. Mario helped me to choose and gave me great reasons why I would choose one over the other. He stated because I have a German Shepherd the pea pebble being the size it is could get caught between the pads in on his paws and could result in a painful situation for my dog.
