I began to work with Kathleen and within a month, or so, my excruciating low back pain disappeared. She tailors specialized treatment to each person’s unique back pain. Kathleen goes the extra mile for her patients. I wish I had started sooner at Specialized Spine and Joint, it would have saved me a year and a half worth of pain!

I was a client with SSJPT twice. Once for lower back pain and once for a broken ankle- 3 bones. The back pain was long standing and it comes and goes and I needed help when it was acting up. I received a lot of help in the form of exercises to do and some in person suggestions after evaluations. The second time I went to see Dr. Kathleen was after breaking 3 bones in my ankle. I am pleased to say that Dr. Kathleen correctly diagnosed what exercises could alleviate my long standing lower back pain. She and I met in person and then successfully continued the therapy sessions using Zoom meetings . She is a compassionate therapist who communicates clearly as she carefully observed my progress. I learned which exercises from the MacKenzie program would help me. I am so happy to be pain-free. I highly recommend Dr. Kathleen Matejik !

Dr. Kathleen was great....she assessed the problem I was having with my back and then systematically figured out what exercises would be most helpful to first eliminate the pain I was experiencing, followed by giving me strengthening exercises to help make sure I don't injure myself again. Highly recommend her.
