I have been a customer of Specialty Marine for several years, and have been consistently satisfied with their quality of repair work and service. I own a 1998, 20' Bayliner Trophy boat. Not big enough to handle everything that the Channel can dish up, but I am careful, and keep it at home in my driveway.. how many Santa Barbara and before I go down there I want to talk to somebody about their services for outboard engines and thinking about actually buying one another one but the problem is after calling five times in 2 days I can't seem to get anybody to answer return the phone calls with the messages that I've left
If used Specialty many times when operated by Eric the previous owner. He and his crew were awesome. Today my outboard failed early at Anacapa and had to motor back on the kicker. Frustrating for sure. I decided to stop at Specialty for the repair, meet the new owner and price out and possibly purchase a new Honda 200. One of the workers came out and told me the owner would be right with me. He was working in the cabin of a boat right out front. I have a Honda 250 outboard that ended up having an electric intermittent problem that left me stranded at the islands. Took the boat to 2 different service providers that could not figure the problem out. I saw that Specialty Marine was a certified Honda dealer so I took the boat to them. Scott the owner personally took on my project with one of his lead mechanics. They were able to find the issue and correct the problem quickly at a very reasonable cost.
